LC Preview op Campervan Days & Dock Day

April 2026

Vantrack oprichters Rien en Paul Swagerman Rotterdam

In early April, Vantrack presented the first prototype of the PV5/LightCamp during Campervan Days 2026 and the Vantrack Dock Day.

During this public premiere, Vantrack unveiled a new vision for the camper van: a lightweight, flexible, and modular interior designed to make the vehicle suitable for both everyday use and short- and long-distance travel.

The LightCamp was developed from the conviction that electric mobility requires a fundamentally new approach to camper conversion.
The LightCamp is built on the belief that electric driving calls for a fundamentally different way of designing and building camper vans. The PV5 already integrates many camper-specific features as standard, and we recognize in it the same sense of spaciousness, quality, and functionality that also forms the foundation of the Vantrack Classic. Combined with a forward-thinking design that perfectly aligns with Vantrack’s vision, we are extremely excited to build on this platform.

A key element of this vision is a completely new and flexible way of utilizing the roof. At the heart of this concept is the Skylight: a multifunctional panoramic roof window that not only provides additional natural light and ventilation, but also increases standing height in the living area and offers direct access to the roof tent. During the presentation, visitors were also given a first look at the prototype of an entirely new roof tent, developed by Vantrack in collaboration with tent designer and architect ZELT and Johannes Offerhaus.

Together with KIA de Beer Rotterdam, we provided visitors with detailed information about the capabilities and characteristics of the electric PV5, Vantrack’s design philosophy, and the roadmap toward its market launch in September 2026. The enthusiastic responses and valuable feedback from visitors have provided us with important insights for the further development of the LightCamp. We are now fully engaged in the next phase of the project.
